Harry Styles fan ties up his concerts with the phrase, before going deaf
Nicole Meyers has a hereditary disease that can eventually cause her to lose her hearing.
One Harry Styles fan is on a mission to listen to as much of the British pop star’s music as she can before a medical condition forces her to lose her hearing.
Canadian Nicole Meyers spoke frankly to CBC News’ The National about her efforts to create as many musical memories as she can, particularly those involving Harry Styles.
“He’s just brought so much fun into my life, and I love his music,” Meyers said before explaining her health situation.
“So I have two brain tumors, one on each cochlear nerve. It means that I will eventually lose my hearing,” she told the outlet.
It’s a particularly challenging diagnosis for someone who is so passionate about music. “I love listening to music, obviously. I love Harry Styles,” Meyers said. “Music’s a big part of my life, so it scares me. I don’t want to be deaf, I don’t want to lose my hearing.”

Meyers was fortunate to attend four gigs despite the difficulty in obtaining tickets for Styles’ Love on Tour events. “I went to one in Toronto, I went to one in California, and I just recently went to London and saw him at Wembley Stadium twice,” she shared.
“It just gets better, each time,” she added of seeing Styles perform live. “And my closet friends I’ve met because of being a Harry fan. It’s just brought so many important things into my life and memories I’ll remember forever.”

Styles finished his sold-out tour after more than two years on the road, which included stops in South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia in addition to the United States, with a final performance on Saturday night in Reggio Emilia, Italy, where his pal James Corden was in the crowd. The “Fine Line” singer grew upset as he began his performance and talked to the 120,000-strong crowd in Italian on what the tour meant to him.
“The last two years of my life have been a wonderful gift, and it is truly very special to end my tour here, in this country that has a special place in my heart,” he said, per Italy 24 News, before admitting he was “very tired, but very, very happy” after performing 173 shows since the tour began in September 2021.
The Grammy-winning musician released the music video for “Daylight” from his 2022 album Harry’s House on Wednesday. In the film, he can be seen wandering around a circus’s grounds while walking a tightrope and evading knives. In addition, he shoots out of a cannon and soars into the air on a pair of enormous lemon-yellow feathered wings, which many of his admirers would remember as the yellow suit from paparazzi photos taken during the video shoot and which appeared online in May 2022.
